Mr. Joshua Abiodun Bamdupe (FNIQS) is one of the foremost Quantity Surveyors in Nigeria and the Principal Partner at Jabak Consultants, a firm of Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and Arbitrators. Mr. Bamdupe was the Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (Lagos Chapter) 2003 to 2005 and Vice President, Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (2008 to 2011).
He attended Yaba College of Technology before leaving the country to further his education, exposure and experience. A graduate of Willesden College of Technology, London. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Management and Economics from Sheffield City Polytechnic, Sheffield, UK and a Master’s of Science degree in Project Management from University of Liverpool, UK. A Fellow of Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and was a Board member of the Quantity Surveying Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN) with No 081.
Mr. Bamdupe started his pre-practice professional experience with ACON Associates, a firm of Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in 1976. He also worked with ASA Partnership as a Quantity Surveyors between 1982 – 1987 before returning to ACON Associates where he was appointed the executive director between 1987 and 1991.
During his pre-practice experience, he was able to handle and supervise notable projects all over the country which includes but not limited to; Barclays Bank Building at Effunrun, Army Barracks at Bida & Ibadan, Workshop for R.T Briscoe at Lekki, High court at Ibadan & Sagamu, Tamsark supermarket at Ajaokuta, A dining hall for University of Benin, The Court of Appeal at Benin & Enugu, The Central Bank branches at Minna & Markurdi, A Factory building for Ault & Wihlborg at Ota, National Bank Headquarters at Broad Street, Lagos, A renovation of First Bank at Ilupeju, Owena Bank Headquarters at Akure amongst others.
Mr. Bamdupe registered his own firm Jabak Consultants in September 1989 and commenced active practice in 1990. He is currently practicing as a quantity surveyor, project manager and an astute arbitrator.
The firm has since engaged in the provision of Consultancy Services for both Building and Civil Engineering projects in the private as well as in the public sector both within and outside the shores of Nigeria.
